Animal Care Internships

Two animal-care internships are available in the Museum’s Wildlife Resource Center. These volunteer positions let interns experience all aspects of caring for captive wildlife. They clean cages, maintain exhibits, prepare food and help provide enrichment activities and veterinary care.

Each internship is a three-month commitment, three to five days per week for a minimum of six hours a day. This is a physically demanding position. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Previous animal-care experience is desirable.

Interns should have career goals within the field of wildlife management.
