Complex problem solving skills are key to scientific success in any field. "Brain Teasers 2" is a highly interactive exhibit designed to help sharpen your cognitive skills.
"Brain Teasers 2" is produced and toured by the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry. The exhibit features a collection of 21 hands-on puzzles designed to develop problem-solving skills and provide plenty of fun. Individuals of all ages will enjoy a wide array of challenges, including mathematical conundrums and mind-boggling block puzzles.
Put your creative thinking and problem-solving strategies to use looking for patterns, thinking ahead, setting aside preconceived ideas, and looking at problems from different perspectives—all core components of the scientific process.
The exhibit also encourages parent-child interaction as families team up to solve the brain teasers. Or work on your own to see how many of the challenging brain teasers you can solve! Among the many puzzles and brain teasers located throughout the space, you can arrange standard geometric shapes to create startling new ones or attempt to solve a maze that is apparently unsolvable.
"Brain Teasers 2" was located in Kahn Hall. It was open through May 3, 2009.
