Lecture SeriesThe Cleveland Archaeological Society is a local society of the Archaeological Institute of America (AIA). Each year, the society sponsors a series of lectures, which are held in the Museum’s Murch Auditorium. A reception follows each talk. All lectures are free and open to the public. What do the Museum’s curators do? The Curator’s Forum lecture series lets you find out. Get acquainted with the latest Museum research being done in fields ranging from archaeology to zoology. These informative presentations are held Wednesday evenings in Murch Auditorium. There is a reception after every lecture, to meet the Curator and ask questions. Light refreshments are served. Proceeds support the Museum’s Collections & Research Division. Inspire Your Curiosity! The Explorer Series offers memorable presentations on an array of fascinating topics in science and natural history. Each evening begins at 5:30 pm and offer the opportunity to: Purchase food in The Blue Planet Catch up with friends and family Listen to live music Enjoy the Museum’s outstanding exhibitions Browse the merchandise in the Museum Store Stay after the lecture for book signings by select speakers and stargazing in the Ralph Mueller Observatory, weather permitting. Frontiers of Astronomy is a free lecture series that offers those with an interest in astronomy the chance to learn about some of the latest research in the field. Presentations are given in the Museum's Murch Auditorium. On clear evenings, the Ralph Mueller Observatory will be open afterward. No tickets or reservations are required. |
